INFORMATION, EDUCATION AND COMMUNICATION
AN INTEGRATED EMPLOYEE WELLNESS PROGRAMME draws on a variety of
disciplines within the workplace. Information, education, and communication
(IEC) are an integral part of an Integrated Employee Wellness programme.
Present day research studies are highlighting areas in the work
place, which are becoming highly problematic for employers and employees.
Problems such as work-related stress, drugs and alcohol misuse,
and issues such as discrimination etc., can lead to high levels
of absenteeism, sickness, poor productivity, decision-making and
low–level of job satisfaction. They represent a major cause of accidents,
fatal injuries, and disease at work.
